Hey guys!me and my gf have 2 girls and a drake an finally after a year they are startin to lay!at times the egg is in the egg box for us to lift but sometimes they bury them in the nesting box!is there a reason for this?ive seen drake look lik he's having sex with them so are we maybe eating buried fertile eggs?

Ducks hide eggs. They don't always sit on them. I just try to look carefully, and if I find one of questionable age, I either do the float test or just compost it.

I do not recommend eating eggs that you are not sure of regarding when they were laid.

They lay at night because when we put them in there's no eggs but there are in the morning under the hay in the nesting box
