He did much better today and doesn't seem to be having any problems this evening. He doesn't usually get acute asthma attacks, his problems usually just build up until he is at the pneumonia/hospital stage. As his doctor put it, he is almost always at about 80% lung function and when he gets a cold or is exposed to an allergen, the function goes down even more. He has really seemed so much better lately and he responded so well last night to the treatment and to having his breathing meds again that I am still hopeful that he is outgrowing some of his allergies.
Kbarrett, my son had the skin prick allergy test done also when he had just turned 4. He absolutely hated it! Can't say that I blamed him. Out of the 20 things they tested him for, he was allergic to 17 of them to varying degrees. I wonder what that same test would look like now 2.5yrs later...
Edited to add: I tried to type skin pr__k allergy test to describe the type of test done, but when I posted, it changed the word to "jerk", LOL.
