"Nothing... yet, at least!" he laughed as he reached in and slapped Kat hard in her cheek.
"HEY! Keep your filthy hands off her you rat! You can't do that to her!" yelled one of the boys who looked normal in Kovon's cage.
"Is that so, huh? Actually, I can do that. You wanna know what else I can do?" he said as he strode up to the cage where the boy was. "This!" he continued as he pulled out his pistol and fired. A clean hole appeared in the boy's forehead which began to squirt blood. He must have been a mermaid because he fell to the floor of the cage dead.
"That's the fourth one dead so far. Vindi's not gonna be happy 'bout that." one of the other men said.
"SO WHAT? We took ten more than he said we needed, so we're still good. LET THIS KID BE A LESSON TO THE REST OF YOU LOT!" he said. He opened the cage for a few seconds and dragged the body out, then shut it quickly and it locked automatically. He uncerimoniously tossed the body off the back of the truck and it dissapeared in the undergrowth and the dark.

Kat held onto her cheek, she sat down in the corner of the cage,
"I dnt want to be here! I dont want to! Let me go please!"
She cried out,
"I dont even wanna be a monster like this! And never did!"
