Kids and chickens contest!

Here is my nearly 2 year old daughter meeting our chickens for the first time...

My favorite part is the way the white rock hen kept tilting her head back and forth like a dog, she didn't know what to make of the little person!

Our two kids with their beloved chickens. DD's chicken Pearl just went to the great freerange in the sky. They just adore these little birds and spend hours playing with them every day. Needless to say these little birds are super tame!

These are so adorable! My boys are crazy in love with their new chicks.

We call him the "Mighty Chicken Hunter." He can catch those chickens quicker than anyone!

And this is our "Chicken Whisperer." He is very gentle and understanding, and the chickens just walk right up to him.

These pictures are kinda hard to look at, since we only have the EE left, the replacement chicks are on their way. The dog who never gets out of his fence got out and played with the Australorp chick and the leghorn chick. It was an opportunity to teach the girls about the cycle of life.
