I wanted to post the lap blanket and baby blanket projects the kids have finished this year. Some of the colors don't quite match in the blankets but they look nice anyway. All the yarn used is donated to us, some from the wonderful enablers of BYC!

Those are very nice. You must of had the whole class working on them. That's a lot of crocheting.

It is our after school club. They do sewing, crochet, and cooking. They ran out of yarn so have done more quilts and such than crochet this year. Some of the projects were done by last years kids who are now in 7th at the Middle School.

Do the children keep their projects or are they donated?

Those are fantastic projects! My daughter goes to and after school knitting and crocheting club for the last 3 years and loves it, she is so sad they don't offer it in her new school next year. The ladies who run the program share their never ending knowledge and the girls (and a couple of boys) sit around in groups chatting the time away.
BRAVO to you for doing this for your local school kids
