Kids: Innocent Fun or Chicken Torturers?

I'm sorry...I really am... I don't mean to anger anyone with my levity...but the title of this thread and the activity labeled "chicken tossing," along with mental visions of said acitivy made me laugh out loud.

But on the serious side, I don't think it's a good idea.

In addition to potential leg/body injuries from poor landings, I've also read that too much or too intense a jarring of the chicken has the potential to break an egg within the chicken's body and kill it. I just wouldn't risk injuries, and I'm sure the kids could be instructed in better ways to handle the chickens that will keep the chickens docile and friendly and amuse the kids as well.
