Oh god I once missed an Uber and almost a whole flight because I lost my card and the front desk couldn’t unlock my room either.

I had a knife sitting too close to the flame on the stove.
When I went to grab the knife I didn't realize the plastic handle was already melting and it stuck to my hand.
