If you get offed for being a whiny brat you are ignored for good.
If you get offed for just stepping in front of Saff's knife...you won't really get the ignore button.

I think that it's male. Looks a lot like my Moltres did -- big crest, large, symmetrical wattles that look somewhat like skewed bra cups stuck to the beak.
