Actually, most of this is not misinformation. (Meant for everybody) The dose makes the poison, however, a person could think that more is better and feed in excess if toxicity isn't mentioned. The majority of plants contain some form of antinutrient that can cause issues for people and animals.The amount of misinformation on the web amazes me!
Apple seeds (most fruit)- amygdalin in apple, cyanogenic glycosides
Onions - Deadly, oxidative hemolysis
Avocado - Persin; skins, peels and parts of the plant
Raw eggs - Avidin binds biotin to cause deficiency
Potato peels - from the nightshade family, alkaloid solanine and they also contain lectins
Chocolate - Methylxanthines; theobromine and caffeine
Beans - phytohemagglutinin, referring to the toxicity of kidney beans, soaking/ heating requirements. Deadly to humans as well
