@KDOGG331 earlier “the wrong type” of flooring for your quail was mentioned. Can you tell me what that is? No pics needed just the type of flooring your using. Quail are in my future and I’m learning as much as possible before I dive into it.

@KDOGG331 earlier “the wrong type” of flooring for your quail was mentioned. Can you tell me what that is? No pics needed just the type of flooring your using. Quail are in my future and I’m learning as much as possible before I dive into it.

I have mine on wire right now but the wire I’m using is way too big because I didn’t have anything else. I think that’s the main problem. It’s 1 inch by 1 inch cage wire. I think 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch hardware cloth would have been better or even 1/2 by 1 inch. I think the big wire is just really hard on them although supposedly all wire is? So idk. I see a lot of people doing cages though so

I think the key might be adding lots of dirt boxes so they’re not really on it. And I’m gonna be making them a pen on the ground too.

I think that sounds like a good plan! I have some good stacked/multi tiered cage videos if you’re interested haha but yeah I think the big wire is the problem but then now I’m hearing all wire might be bad? So idk cause I’ve seen a lot of those cage videos haha

Not to be persnickety, but I would just like to point out that "bad ass" should be either hyphenated or one word.
