Looks like she had Thanksgiving dinner a little early!!I told him to give her a little extra since we are going out of town for awhile and my FIL will just be filling her salad bowl (no bugs). End result: she could barely haul her bloated self back to her tank

I know they don’t care but I just have this thing about feeding chicken chicken or duck duck etc 
they don’t think like that but it weirds me out lol

The one year I was in charge of Thanksgiving dinner, I gave my flock the turkey carcass. Those birds were better than a dermestid beetle colony. Never seen cleaner bones from a fresh skeletonOh wow!! That would also freak me out
I tend to avoid it out of concern for disease transmission, as I don't think it's a good idea to engage in that sort of cyclical feeding for any animal species, but I don't mind if they grab a few scraps.Oh wow!! That would also freak me out
I just spent way too long typing out a dissertation on animal behaviour, saw that Banty said it in a fraction of the words, and then deleted it all.Oh wow! Dogs are super smart! I’m sure he knew. Sure my quail did too. I just read some article or post or whatever yesterday about how smart quail actually are and how they can be taught to recognize colors and shapes and count and stuff so I was like oh gosh they know I killed their friends!!!
And the whole time I was butchering them I kept thinking what I would think or how freaked out I would be if I was in a cage with a bunch of other humans that kept being taken away by a giant and not returning. And especially how scared I’d be if I saw all their bodies right before I too was murdered.
I know quail probably don’t think like that but still. I swear they got more and more scared and resistant.

This boy is kinda bad too but he’s so gorgeous and my only one this color so I hate to off him and he’s also kinda runty
