I believe if you hold down the hyphen, options for an en dash and an em dash should pop up. Alternately, you can do what I do, which is use three hyphens; though, this seems quite contingent on which device you are using, as on some of them three hyphens makes up an absurdly long mark.I think of you every time I do this. I don't know how to do an em dash on my phone. ☹
