If you use two hyphens as a substitute for an em dash, you deserve a slow and painful death.

I use punctuation as art. I choose the marks that best (imo) complement the appearance of the sentence (or fragment or run-on) thereof. (IOW, I make it up as I go along.)

It was a long day but I was lazy 60% of it... so exhausting.

Understandable!!! Oddly I find the same. I’m more tired on the lazy days when I sit around than when I’m actually doing stuff. I’m ready to go to bed so early on the lazy days lol yet super energized when I’m running around and should be more tired sometimes though I have to force myself up even if it’s just for a walk or to visit with the birds or whatever, just something, in order to be able to actually do stuff hahah

That's so true though.... but when I'm in the busy-mode it's hard to turn off the Energizer bunny
I spent 40% actually productive toward the end of the day and I felt like it was so hard to just do it.
