Okay I finally recorded the critter and there is also a second critter tonight with a real long call. Can anyone help me ID what these are!? And any of the other sounds I’m hearing!?

The drawn out one sounds like a mole cricket. I hate them. Creepy little weirdos.

You become desensitized to a certain extent. There's a lot of dark humour in the medical world.. coping mechanism.
Some days you come home and cry.
In my experience it is much harder to deal with the owners than it is to bless an animal by ending their pain.

That makes sense!!! You would have to! And yeah I’m sure telling the owners is awful

If I didn’t have Mareks on my property now I actually would have seriously considered buying and reselling them but alas can’t

Sucks.

I did think of buying egg layers though to sell eggs but I don’t want more birds haha

Ask if the chicks are vaccinated - I don't know if TSC usually buys vaccinated chicks but certainly worth the question.
