Killed raccoon by mistake

I'm not sure if anyone eats raccoons but I can't see why not. I know that some poultry owners give roadkill to their birds for extra protein, but I buried this little guy.
Pat, I read your suggestion about the brick/rope/cinder block and I have all 3 on hand so when we resurrect the rain barrel in the spring I'll rig that or possibly puta full guard over that barrel. And I did find out last night that Mary the 'nice' rqccoon still has her kit, a female. She was at our patio door last night with her to get sunflower seeds and after they ate and groomed the two napped on the upper step of our deck. I wish all raccoons had her attitude.
