Killing Flu...vent

I found out that one of my friends died from the flu two days ago. He was only 19 and had the flu for 2 days then he started coughing up blood. he went to the hospital and life flighted him over to portland and he died on the way there

I just need to vent a little. I am putting a scrap book together and I have so many pictures of us growing up together....him at my 2 year birthday and him jumping on the trampoline, eating dinner with us, going camping with us...everything two best friends could do and now he's gone. I don't know what to do or say. he was only a year older then me... I just want to warn everyone that the flu does kill and it doesn't care about age.

I'm so sorry to hear about this...It's so sad that it's a young person.
I'm asthmatic so I always get a flu shot, even if it's not the same strain you have a bit of protection.

It actually sounds more like pneumonia than the flu...
