Are you asking specifically about "killing"? Or about butchering?

There have been a few threads regarding the most humane way to kill a chicken: axe, slit throat, electrocution first...

My wife will hold the birds feet in one hand and then bring the neck up to the feet so she is holding both of them in one hand, take the cleaver with the other hand slice the throat then bleed the bird in a bowl, it might flap its wing but they won't strugglle for long, very clean.
