King City, Ontario bylaw says nothing about chickens in any way....

or at least that is what I have gathered from reading it. Does not saying anything about them make them legal by default.

My husband and I are looking to move out of toronto but not too far because he works dwtn so King would be perfect. The kids and I want hens sooooo bad.

Welcome!! I didn't read the bylaws, but if you can't find restrictions on them, I say go for it!! Just don't keep a roo or yo might upset the new neighbours.

My city(st.catharines) allows chickens just not coops! stupid by laws!
 
I think I recall reading a previous Canadian thread where they are covered by \\province law, not by individual city ordinances?
