King Of The Hill

I too miss the show. It was very down to earth compared to the zaniness of the Simpsons and other animated shows. I liked nearly all of the characters and the characters DID things that real people do. I love the gnome episode because my late husband saw me looking at garden gnomes at Pamida one day (Midwest people know where I'm talking about) and he made me promise NOT to get one. I asked if I could keep it in the bedroom and he said no ... he'd seen the episode.

My late husband was actually a lot like Hank, didn't like to talk about feelings, liked fishing, football, golf, kinda old fashioned and conservative and mowed the lawn every 3 days.

I would have loved it if they had "aged" the show a few years to show Bobby, Joseph amd Connie in high school and Gracie a few years older.

boomhower was a cop?????

and i hated patch(boomhowers brother) and bobby and peggy most of the time. but bill was the best

Woah. I bet he was 1 of those stripper cops cuz he always had the ladies. lets not forget Mihn, Nancy, Ice cream truck girl. Ahh the memories.

Makes me want to watch the series again with the fact that Boomhauer was a cop in my mind. It might explain some things. You'd figure that Hank would have known that since they've known each other since they were kids.

They all knew, it was just one of those things that was not mentioned. Inside joke & all! Bigtime AHA moment, does explain a lot of things.
I was like

just like when Bobby stuck his head out of the shower on Dallas!

I thought the way Boomhauer talked was totally fictional until I went car shopping. I couldn't understand a single word the car salesman said, and I couldn't look at my husband either. We were both so close to cracking up, I still have no idea what kind of car he was trying to sell me. I think when we got back in our car, one of us managed to squeeze out the word "Boomhauer" before we both collapsed into giggles. We still laugh over it.

Just so you know....The Hills live in south Austin.

And LuAnne Platter is named for the smaller dinner plate at Luby's.
