"The prince a-and I where s-staying here for t-the night. When we woke w-we walked downstairs and s-say the m-man causing t-trouble, he insulted the p-prince and m-myself that is w-why the prince is t-talking to him," Winter answered calmly.

"The p-prince and I a-are close friends s-since we w-were young a-and I was going to t-the castle for a v-visit s-so he met with m-me a few towns back and h-he is escorting me t-to the castle,"Winter said.

Winter eyed the dagger in the girls hand maybe they weren't just wondering whats going on inside as she had thought before. maybe they're after the prince too, she thought. She took comfort that her dagger was out of sight but close at hand in one of the folds in her dress where she sewed a pocket on her dress.
