Some recent media chatter about the CDC study (http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/22/10/15-0765_article) linking backyard chickens and salmonella.

Personally, I am not really worried about being infected (for the record, I do not kiss my birds and use common sense with hand washing, etc) but also do not treat them as walking petri dishes about to kill me with their bacteria. Yet, stories such as those are certainly not helping the backyard chickens movement at all. What’s your take on this?
