Some more pics of our flock incoming! We seem to be a bit confused about our most recent few that we got at Tractor Supply a couple weeks ago if you guys could lend a hand as to your thoughts!
There was a bin that had Easter Egger and Starlight Green Egger pullets in it at Tractor Supply. Kyle asked the worker, who seemed pretty new, for 2 Easter Eggers and one Starlight Green Egger. The employee didn't know which was which, and there were 3 different color variants of chicks in the bin, so he told Kyle to pick which ones he wanted, so he chose one of each color, resulting in Poppy, Lily, and Cassi (Cassiopea).
So we aren't totally sure which bird is what type if anyone has any ideas in that regard. To add to it - Cassi has become a BIG baby in the 1-2 weeks we have had them. She was the smallest when we brought them home, now she's as big as our 5 week old Wyandotte (Scarlett), but doesn't have the feathers. Cassi has barely a tail, and still has mostly baby feathers.
Cassi also seems to lay down often. She doesn't appear to be lame or weak, she runs around like the rest and acts normal, just likes to lay down more than the others. I'll pick her up and she'll lay down in my hands, she seems more calm when picked up compared to the rest.
Of course we Googled it, and we found a lot of folks saying that Easter Eggers can grow faster than other breeds, so maybe she's not a Starlight Green Egger? But then it makes us wonder if Cassi is a rooster in disguise as well? No clue.
Of course, still feeling strongly suspicious of Pepper and Bon Bon being roosters...
We appreciate everyone's input! We love hearing what everyone thinks and all of the kind words about our flock! We're going to start our own thread shortly to post updates!
Also, shout out to the person who suggested that Luna is a porcelain d'Uccle! We're sad to not have another silkie but so thrilled to have such a cool and sweet little birb as part of our flock!
Enjoy!
