Okay.. so this has weighed on my mind for a while now and want to make sure I'm not crazy or a freak

...OKAY here it goes .... so I've raised all 30+ of my chickens as chicks and am very attached to them and they are pretty affectionate back to me..

my fiance thinks I am bat-sh!t crazy but I love to pick up my cuddliest chickens and hug them and give them little smooches on their cheeks

Does anyone else smooch on their chickens!?

I don't kiss mine but I do nuzzle the chicks against my face. My bigger girls hop onto my lap and nuzzle their head against me.

I mean how could you not love them. I love my girls' personalities even my boys are sweet for now just worried when my boys get older that they could turn aggressive.

hoping they stay somewhat nice.

As someone who has been hospitalized due to salmonella, I do try to avoid it. But I get where your coming from and I have to catch myself sometimes. I definitely hug and cuddle them each at least once a day. How can you not give comfort to something that sees you as it's mother? :)

Hopefully they don't turn aggressive; I'm in the same boat with my 9 week old cockerels, they're so sweet and like to be held and petted just like my girls.. hopefully they stay nice and calm!

I totally agree :)

I hug and "squeeze" mine all the time, I haven't really kissed them because they free range--and Lord knows where they have been and WHAT they have been eating. LOL!
