A couple of years ago my dog Lily found a wild baby bunny about that size. We were out on a walk when she started snuffling around and came out of the tall grass holding this tee-tiny bunny cradled on her tongue. She gave me this very funny look and just stood there with that tiny little rabbit on her tongue like she wasn't sure what to do next. When I told her to drop it she laid it very gently on the ground and watched as I carefully pushed it back towards the nest area. I have no idea if the little bunny lived, but Lily was certainly confused by the whole experience.

Its very possible she had mistaken it for a puppy...a very precious dog indeed

Any of my beagles would have just eaten it then and there when they found it

When they snuggle in - can they curl up yet like I've seen buns do? Like when then are in resting position kind of with their backs arched and resting on hands and feet? YannowhatImean? In your pic - they still look all long and stringbean like.
