Kitty Castle Completed!!!

Actually is it a sandy brown color. I thought it was grey. It's almost the color of the trim of the bathroom. My mistint Valspar paint from Lowe's. Cost me $10 to do my bathroom with "good" paint, lol.

I've got it disassembled the way I want it. Removed the swing and the arch that goes from the slide side to the otherside of the swing. Have pulled the slide off for now so I could trim off these little nobbies. I'll reattache it so that it makes a little ramp from where it attaches to the top of the garden tub. I'm thinking of putting a throw rug I have on it for them to scratch or sleep on.

I've left the little climbing wall. Thinking of putting some no slip strips on it. I'm sure they can leap right on it but just to be safe.

I got a nylon climbing thingie from Freecycle today that I'm going to use for places for them to hide and climb. I'm going to attach it with small
pipe clamps. Also got one of those single level carpeted kitty things, but hubby tossed it on the burn pile when he brought it home. Smelled like smoke and pee.

The space I have is only 46 inches wide. 2 Castle fronts are 40 inches.

Not going to be able to work on it tomorrow. Will post pics when I do.

I dont have any pictures right now, I can see about getting them tomorrow. I got a cat scratcher/play toy free from craigslist. Its a small wooden ladder that they wrapped twine/rope all around. Its in the open postion and my outside cats love to play on it. Im not sure about using it inside(a little too big), but still pretty nice. Plus it was free, so it was worth it.

Couldn't resist working on it, lol. One of those post chemo feeling crappy days. I did what I could do while sitting.

Things didn't work for lifting the slide up to the tub. Too much of an incline. Instead attached the ladder to the extra castle front. It's 42 inches wide into the 46 inch available space.

Need to move the wheel over to the front side. Need to fix "spy-glass" had been out in the sun and weakened. Popped off when I flipped over the castle on the grass. Hot glue will fix it!

Attached hand-towel to the slide so the kids can run up it better or use it to pick at. Easily replaceable.

Removed the mini rock wall. Will re-attach it to the top of the platform. Hope it will roll right down on top of the tub.

Have since slide a nylon kitty Cube under the platform. It's got little deelie-bobs hanging from the ceiling of it that they have been playing with. I've got all kinds of toys dredged into cat nip to be hung from here and there tomorrow.

Will also be adding this nylon and PVC condo/climber to it. Will attach to the castle with pipe strap covered with duct tape so they don't hurt themselves.

I've got it worked out that it will still allow access to the slide and to the climibing tower. At the top of the slide they can scoot under the one napping spot and climb up to the hammock. Hop over and set on top of the climbing tower.
there will be a glittery critters and stuff, buckets of fresh catnip, all the thing that Beach Kitties are looking for!

Still need to add a few little touches like the little stuffed fish I picked up. As you can see Luna approves. Look through the castle winow and You'll see Lucky on the platform. Lucy was a sleep under the couch.

Wow!!! That turned out GREAT!!!

Thanks for sharing. I've been looking for something to do for a huge white cat I adopted. I live on property with coyote and busy road, so don't want to let him outside. Thinking about building something on the outside of the house outside a powder room with window under the eaves so he can climb out there and watch birds, the goats, and chickens.
