Kitty litter in Nest Box?

Hmm, never heard of it, however, my house chicken found our cat litter box once and she used it to dust bathe in, too bad it hadn't been scooped out that day

ick.

I had a cat for about a week (stray we picked up, yucky, loud critter that kept disappearing behind the couh and washing machine) and we got recycled newspaper kitty litter, I was thinking of using that

yes it was nasty and I had to give her a bath which was really nasty! I hope there's someone that has some advice for you

Most people think of the clay stuff when someone says litter -- be sure to mention paper pellet litter if that's what you're after

I would think paper litter would be good; clay litter would be deadly.

Kitty litter contains added chemicals for clumping and for deodorizing. It's not something I would risk, especially because every flock seems to have birds that eat anything resembling grit...

I use shavings because I have a hen what eats everything BUT!
The strands in the nest are bits of grasses she dragged into the run and brought inside to line the nest. Out with the clippers...oh my oh my...
