Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for quite some time, but only just now feel like I know enough to even ask any intelligent questions. I'm a (reasonably) young woman in Florida, and I recently decided to buy property and build myself a little piece of heaven like my grandparents had, and I think chickens are where I want to start.
I'm looking for low input flocks - mostly where dollars are concerned, but keeping things simple for labor's sake as well. I'm willing to use a lot of land rotational style, and I'm willing to do gross things like raise roaches, even though I am as of yet unconvinced that's not pure insanity in Florida.
I'm looking forward to picking y'alls brains here - and thanks for all the knowledge you've already passed along
