KKI's win picture from Dogwood Specialty

Oh you betcha!! Her first weekend out she won this major, and then this past week she won a large (29 puppies) Sweeps class, the Bred By Exhibitor class (15) and Reserve Winner's b.itch (130 b.itches) at one of the largest Specialties in the country.

I have several people waiting to back us when she's ready.

Oh, I already have a couple of boys in mind. One is a current special that goes back into her pedigee 2 different ways. He is a lovely dog with a very well turned stifle, nice shoulder, topline, beautiful head, and super working attitude and temperment.

The other dog would be a frozen breeding, he has been gone for about 10 years. He was imported. His sire is noted for producing very strong very stable very sociable temperaments, and so did this dog. He is of very similar type to Katie, and produced many dogs who went on to found other successful breeding programs. His owner, who also owns the semen, approached me at these last Specialties and indicated she would be willing to part with some of this very precious semen for my grump later once she has health testing done.

You are right, many of these dogs are very slow maturing. For example, her half sister Grace is just now coming into herself at 19 months. She has not been ready to show until very recently. Then occasionally you get a b.itch like this one who has not had an awkward day from the time she stood up in the whelping box. I will spot show her here and there after she finishes, and then we will spend time on working titles before she hits the ring with another BIG BANG as a Special probably later in '12.
