Knitting anyone?

. Hi Clucky, as you’re knitting your scarf put it around your neck to see how much longer it needs to be. If you can wrap it once around your neck, see how long each scarf hangs. I’m tall so I like my scarves on the long side, so they can be wrapped more than once. It also looks nicer when they wrapped loosely then letting the ends hang. Mine are always 5’ plus. If you’re on the shorter side, you can get away with a shorter scarf! Oops posted a pic accidentally after it said it couldn’t upload. I was trying for a simple scarf that showed length.

Thank you for the information!

Knitting anyone? I knit, but I'm not very good at it yet. I am hoping to improve through the winter. I was wondering if there are any other people on this forum who knit? I'm sure there are, stop hiding everyone! ;) Even if your a beginner like me, feel free to join this thread. (* IT CAN BE A CHAT THREAD IF LOTS OF PEOPLE JOIN!*)

I'm looking for people who knit that are willing to chat, and share there experiences with me (and others!).

Thank you!

Even if you can't knit yet, but want to learn, feel free to join for tips and tricks! :D
I've been knitting for several years. Though it's mostly just winter stuff for my kids at this point. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, but Ravelry.com is an awesome site for knitting patterns.

I'm glad some people knit on here! :D My first question:
What is a easy thing for beginners to knit that is useful? :)
Thanks!
First think I made was a hat. it was something quick, and it taught me how to knit in the round too. Pick something small that will get done quick, and that you'll actually use.

I didn't think I'd ever use knitted dishcloths, but once I started making them I found I really like them

I have quite a few knitting needles and yarn...that I was given when my grandma passed.
Once upon a time I knew how to knit a wash cloth.
I am lost these days and have no clue how to start.

I actually looked recently for a local granny to sit with to teach me. Not many Grannys near me. :(
