I got home from work earlier than I have all week. Did the last couple things that needed to get done on the coop, done. I made and installed the pop door. I also made a temporary roost, spread pine shavings, hung a feeder, You know whats next. Add food, water, and chickens! I now have 8 young pullets in the coop. Still need to complete enclosing the run, and hope to have it done on Sunday.

How exciting!! The chickens are in the house! Their house that is I can't wait to hear how they and you like how things are built.

So far they seem happy! really rainy weekend, so I did a bit of painting under cover and worked on my next video blog installment. It is currently uploading to YouTube, will post as soon as it is done.

Chickens are just adorable and you must be relieved to get them in the coop! As far as playthings, don't forget the hanging cabbage!

Worked on the door for about a hour after I got home from work. Cut out the plywood and painted it.Tomorrow I will put one more coat on it before starting to put the frame and trim on it.
