My boys and I are interested in raising a few chickens for eggs in the backyard. We live in southeast Idaho. We think we have decided on the Barred Rock. Will have lots of questions and looking forward to the new advrnture.
 
Welcome to BYC. . Learn all you can from these pages. I suggest searching the forums. Decide what you want in a coop and have fun building it with the boys. Chickens are fun and the bonus eggs everyday don't hurt either. Any time you have a question ( and you will ) just ask. There is a lot of great people here to help you. Good luck!! Go for it!!
