Kombucha - does anyone give it to their chickens?

I've read several posts about people's giving their chickens yogurt, does anyone give Kombucha to their chicks and/or adult chickens? Would you give them the older scoby? If not, why not?

Actually its really good for them, much like apple cider vinegar.

I was wondering about Kombucha and chickens. I brew it for myself and I wonder if it would be beneficial for them as well.

I know I've read about putting it into your dog and cat's water.

The important thing, like with the ACV, is not to put so much in that they don't want to drink.

DAng never thought of it......Ive got some old scoby sitting around in the fridge. Ill go cut up that mother right now and try it on em.

I had no idea what to do with mine either...if your birds go for it, I may start another kombucha from a friend...

Unless, of course, you brewed it yourself.
