I gathered them in the wild .The look like they'd be hard to dig up on the hillside where they're growing. All I saw was thick foliage above the ground with thick rope like vines. The stuff will cover a house once it gets established if you don't aggressively cut it every year. Best grown in the wilderness lol They have a large tap root. Can I buy some live plants from you?
My plan is to have it contained for grazing purposes.I picked some for my chickens this summer but was afraid it might spread so I quit giving it to them .I cut the large leaves into smaller pieces with scissors before feeding it to them. When I picked it I got a bag at a time and stored it in the refrigerator. That way I only had to pick it once a week. They liked it better if they didn't eat it every day obviously lol
I just want some roots and crowns. I have a design specifically for this plant that I think will help contain them.I gathered them in the wild .The look like they'd be hard to dig up on the hillside where they're growing. All I saw was thick foliage above the ground with thick rope like vines. The stuff will cover a house once it gets established if you don't aggressively cut it every year. I'm not in that good of shape .Its growing on a steep rocky hillside! Its growing all over the south on the side of the road.People pay you to dig it up and take it with you.Fair enough, I figured Id ask.
Good luck with that.My plan is to have it contained for grazing purposes.
Agree. I'm imagining a concrete containment system, like used for bamboo - only Kudzu requires more agressive efforts even than that...Good luck with that.

I was thinking of having a patch fenced in by cattle panel and put it right in the center of a goat and chicken pen. Thoughts?Agree. I'm imagining a concrete containment system, like used for bamboo - only Kudzu requires more agressive efforts even than that...
