My neighbor complained about my rooster crowing and ask me to "get rid of him". I called my city. I was informed in the "parcel" where I live, I can only have hens. About 1 block down, a neighbor is allowed to have a rooster as it is a different "parcel". I am just sick. This is very hard.
He is an awesome, young, mellow Silkie/Bantam.
So a lesson learned. To all you new chicken owners..please check with your city ordinances before you get a rooster, and find yourself in this situation. If anyone lives close to me and would like a great rooster , please let me know. Here is a pic of him.
