Did a search. They sound interesting, but not much info is available, most of it copy-pasted from one source, and some of it's contradictory. They say they're 'genetically selected' as well as 'genetically modified' among other contradictions.

If you have (or get) a Facebook account, there is at least one page devoted to them, you'd be able to ask people directly about them. From my search I'd guess that's your best bet, as the FB page has many different people from different countries communicating directly about this specific chicken.

A Ugandan news online site expressed some concerns about their inability to brood, making farmers dependent on buying incubators or continually buying stock, which sounds like a bit of a spanner in the works for a hybrid/breed supposedly designed to help battle poverty. Still, a good idea overall.

Because they're quite specific hybrids I guess there aren't many people on this site keeping them, hence your absence of other respondees. Generally doing a search on anything poultry related brings you to this site but not so for this breed, I did find a thread but it was pretty devoid of real information.

Best wishes.

OK I agree they don't get broody but it does not matter because I collect the eggs and let it get hatched by other chicken breeds

Yeah, it doesn't matter to some, but in the places where they are replacing the 'native' poultry to the point of them becoming extinct, it's a bit of an economical issue. Makes sense that people shouldn't be letting their natives go extinct, lol, they obviously need them.

Still, seems like an interesting breed, strange there's hardly any info out there on them.

Best wishes.
