Hello y'all! We're just getting started out here (but not our first time raising food), and are excited to be part of this community again. We've settled on our forever home nestled deep in the woods of Appalachia huddled over a couple of hollers. Previously, we had ducks until we moved out of state in 2019. We got our start over the summer with black red-laced Wyandotte chickens. Come Spring we hope to add turkeys, however we're still deciding which breed is best for us. Also in the Spring I'll pick up our first nuclear colony of honeybees. Our hope is to eventually expand to Angus cows and pigs. We have a lot of work around the property to accomplish the latter goals. We look forward to learning and sharing knowledge with the community.
