LA Chickenstock (MS & TX too) - TRY AGAIN!!! (pg. 5)

Hi chicken friends. I have been trying to get a chckenstock together for all of us to meet and talk chicken. I tried to set it up around the center of the state (Alexandria area), so that it would be easier for more people to attend. Unfortunately, with my being in Ponchatoula, then I could not do this when Alexandria is 3 hours from me and I know nothing about the area at all.

So, my question is: Who would be interested in attending a LA Chickenstock in Kentwood, LA? I was thinking about setting it for either September 13, 2008 or September 20, 2008. I know that this is a few months away, but this would give everyone plenty of advance notice (to save gas money..lol) and it will not be quite so hot at that time.

I'm sorry, but I am just waaaay too far north. As much as I would love to attend a Chickenstock, I just cannot travel that far.

BeckLa - I am sorry that you are too far away to come. I don't want to leave anyone out. I know that there are some others from north LA that had made the comment that this would be a possibility for them. Maybe some people from the same area could ride together. Just a suggestion.



Janet - That is why I am giving so much advance notice...lol The date is not set for sure yet. I want to see which of the 2 dates would be best for everyone.

Anita - Yes, this is a family thing. I don't know if my hubby will attend, but I will have my 4 yr. old little boy. I cannot go anywhere without him. He is a mommy's boy...lol

i don't know if we could do it, lafayette is 2 hours from me and then that would make it like a 4 hour drive with four kids. i would love to but i am not for sure i can, what all do you want to do at this or have planned?
