I have gold laced chocolate orpingtons. I'm pretty sure a pair. I was wondering how the genes work if bred with mauve with no lacing or barring? Or other chocolates. Thanks in advance

Gold laced Chocolate Orps will be.

ER/ER, Co/Co, Db/Db, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, s+/s+ and choc/choc for males and s+/-, choc/- for females.

Mauve are Blue and Chocolate together, usually you only see females, Solid Chocolate Rooster crossed to a Blue/Splash hen.

If you cross a Gold Laced Chocolate Rooster with a Splash/Blue hen you will get Mauve hens with gold leakage on the breats
