Hello all, I'm new here and wish to ask this question and get your opinions. We recently bought a 5 year old (Guessing her age here) Nubian doe with 2 doelings at her side, born in early February we've had them since late February. The kids have been weaned for a month (She's a great mother and her kids grew quickly and are both healthy and fat). She didn't come from good living conditions and was extremely underweight and may have been running with a buck but we don't know. We've been working on her and getting her back into health and getting almost a gallon of good milk a day. About 2 weeks ago one day she suddenly looked fatter than ever before. Now if you put your hands on either side of her upper belly (near her spine) you can feel something small and hard on the right and on the left you can feel something bigger moving about. If I give either side of her belly a small bump you can feel something move. And now she's grunting occasionally when she lies down.... We're trying to dry up her milk in case she is pregnant and she browses free range in the field.... Just making sure nothing is seriously wrong with her!... Thank you for any thoughts :)

That's rather unfortunate for the poor girl having to kid in the middle of summer... Is there any way I can make it easier for her so she doesn't have heat stress while kidding?
