At what age do they start to color ? Thanks

They will start with next summer molt about June.They will be fully colored by September of next year. A little color will slowly appear until then.

My male Amherst's were 16 weeks old Monday and I would say they have more than half way obtained their full color. I think the color first started to appear about a month ago. It is very exciting to watch the daily changes in them.
