Lakenvelder Silkie Cross?

I am kind of interested in developing a Lakenvelder Silkie... Does anyone think that would work?

At this point all you would have is a mutt. It takes a lot to develop a new breed, and have it recognized. It is a lot more than just crossing two different types of breeds. It would be fun to have a Silkie with the coloring of a Lakenvelder, or a light Sussex.

Oh ya I wouldn't be looking to get it to be a recognized breed, but just for the fun of it. I was just thinking of crossing the two and then selective breeding for the traits I want.

We had Golden Lakenvelder Silkies when I was a kid. My dad bred them and we honestly couldn't keep them because everyone wanted them. They were beautiful birds. I was thinking at some point trying it again but I'm wanted to try some other mixed breeds first.
