Maria was sleeping in the den, curled around her pups when Evander returned from the ice, dragging a seal behind him. He set it down in front of her and the pair are in silence as the pups suckled.
 
"The mother shall be at my mercy" Vlad replied as he walked back toward the Prison
 
"The pups will not be harmed as long as they behave " Vlad snickered.
 
"Desperate?" "Oh please don't bother to contemplate such Ideals you can't begin to fathom" Vlad roared
 
"Oh I think I have a pretty good idea" Jack responded, getting to his feet and stretching one paw "This is what I see: an old, defeated warrior who knows he cannot win against the real threat, so he is taking it out on defencless pups." He paused to let that sink in "Does that make you feel good about yourself? Does it help you sleep at night?" He questioned.

"What would a young rebel like you know about being a warrior?" "You don't even have the strength to simply choose a side!" Vlad roared. "Your all bark no bite"
 
"Their unorganized lock up could easily be broken by a mere trained seal!" Vlad snickered
