Valhalla soon ran into Madara, who had a rather large smirk on his face. Without hesitation he swooped down and grabbed Valhalla into his sharp claws and threw him into his mouth, biting down into his abdomen.

(What I meant by parallel is that she's running in the same direction, but isn't right behind her.)

Valhalla kicked out with his hindlegs, hitting Madara in the neck and slicing through the old wound.

As Kate reached the open ice, she blended with with the white snow.
 
Madara roared and swiped at Valhalla in the abdomen. He dug into his stomach and grabbed him by the head with his other paw. Throwing him to the ground he jerked the paw that was in his stomach upwards, just barely reaching his internals and clawing at them.
 
Rocca lie limply on the ground, not able to fly. She grit her beak, swallowing the excruciating pain in her wing and got back up onto her feet.

Valhalla's head flew back and he let out a sickening gurling sound, his body going still and his limbs twitching.
