Evander lashed out with his front paw, leaving three deep gashes across Cairo's face. "Vlad is not my leader. Nor are you"

Maria grabbed Cairo from above and lifted him in the air before dropping him from about 50ft. She swooped down and grabbed Evander who was still dazed and took off, rising much quicker now that she didn't have the extra weight of Vlad. Soon, she was clearing the tree-tops.

She rose slowly, her wings beating strongly through the air as she carried both herself, and Evander. The clouds were low and she ducked into them, disappearing from view.

Kate didn't notice her, and began prowling through the trees, her paw steps completely silent as she stalked a Lemming.

The creature slowly prowled through the cover of the forest. Making sure to not leave a trail behind her

Kate pounced, killing the Lemming quickly. She grabbed it in her jaws and gulped it down in a few quick bites, famished.

The creature was now a mere feet away from Kate. She positioned herself to strike.

Suddenly, Kate froze, sensing eyes on her and the scent of a stranger. She abandoned the remains of the Lemming and whipped around, growling.
