Spirit buried his head in Galenteis chest feathers and cried out. His siblings were trying to heal Mali back to life. Her breaths were coming in short gasps and her eyes were closed and her sides heaved with the slow breaths she was taking.

Valasca pulled the feathers from Galentei. She began to use an ancient fire spell on the feathers molding them into one long cloth.

"Spirit, it's okay." Galantei nuzzled the pup gently, then steeled himself as he tore out multiple chest feathers. A large bare patch was on his chest. The feathers were already growing back. "Here." he said, giving them to Valasca.

Valasca burned these feathers as well. "Galantei please take the pups else where. They don't need to witness this"

Galantei picked up Spirit first, then Leader, then their other two siblings. "Will you come to tell us of the progress?" he asked. Another dull roar sounded, and Galantei looked to the south. A faint glow was coming from that way. "Humans." he said, and set off. "Get in a cave if you can. The Villigars have sent out another exploding rocket." he called back, running now.

"I will update you as soon as possible" Valasca grabbed Mali and flew back to her nest

"Mali this is going to sting quite a bit." Valasca held the bandage to her head and began to bind it to her skin.

Mali opened her eyes slightly. "Where is Spirit? Leader, Howler and Hunter?" She whispered. "What about Galentei...?"

"They are safe my child. You may return to them as soon as you are healed up"

"Please... I need to see Galentei..." She whispered. "Please, Vascala, please!"
