She heard him walking but wasn't too concerned as he wasn't near her at that point. She focused her attention to Vlad, listening carefully as she spied on them.

Vlad stood still "Why is this happening now?" he thought to himself

She waited patiently in the corner.

"Does anyone know how many villagers there are approaching?" Vlad asked

Jack shrugged "Dunno"

The she-fox froze like ice when she heard his voice, her eyes widened as she stared at him, as though seeing him for the first time in a very long time.

" I fear we may be in over our heads " Vlad said

Jack's posture stiffened when he seen her, hardly hearing Vlad as he locked eyes with her. Sharp yellow against green.

"Are you okay?" Vlad asked suspicious

"I... ah.." He mumbled, Vlad's voice hardly registering in his mind as he stared at her. And she stared back.
