"Very well" Kate replied, turning to her teamates "You all heard what needs to be done, who's in?"

"I am" Maria, Aiden and Sara replied instantly.

Kate glanced at Sara before looking at Manex "Is Sara ready for battle?"

Manex frowned at Kate and looked at Sara "Yes, but take it easy. You aren't completly healed yet."

Sara nodded "I know, thank you Manex."

"I will come aswell" Manex replied "To keep an eye on her"

Kate rose to her feet "It is decided them, we leave in an hour."
 
"I wish you all the best of luck"
 
"Luck is for amateurs" Kate replied with a wink as Maria, Sara, Aiden and Maxex gathered near the entrance to the water "Of which we are not."
 
"I see your all quite confident in your abilities"
 
"A team who doubts their abilities cannot hope to be successful" As she spoke, her form shimmered and her white fur melted into that of a large Cooper's Hawk. She flexed her claws and spoke again to Pacu, her voice now sounded slightly different but had the familiar tone of Kate "We'll be back as soon as we can."
 
"I shall await your return"
 
"Good" She replied before slipping beneath the water. Maxine pulled them down, under the rocky shelf that sheltered the cave, then upwards towards a small hole in the ice. Kate led the way, her wings pumping at the water in a similar way to how they would pump in the air and burst from under the waves, shooting into the sky with Maria, Aiden, Manex and Sara close behind. They gained altitude quickly and began the long flight to Lake Lakia.
 
Pacu waved his new allies farewell
 
They flew quickly across the ice, heading towards warmer air. As they neared Lake Lakia, the air began warm and moist, the opposite of the Arctic air.
 
The land was still and quiet. Darkness has reign here.
