Rex was racing towards the cave as fast as he could. Being not too far away it would only take him about 20 minutes to get there. Nero was meanwhile flying in the same direction, but was still a good distance away. It would take him about 45 minutes to get there.

Rex jumped into the freezing water near the cave. He took a a deep breath as he plunged himself under the water, down towards the cave. Meanwhile a snake was already slipping into the cave. She slithered up next to Cairo, as if guarding him.
 
Thistles broke the branch into 3 circles and began carving some lines around the edge of them.

Pacu awoke to find he had been left alone.
 
Thistles, although away, watched Pacu from the top of the hill. With a rock she began hacking into the back of the piece of wood.
 
Emma coiled up, waiting for Maxine's next move or Cairo's next order.

Maxine shot out of the gloom, grabbing Rex's arm and yanking him downwards. It took a few minutes to reach the cave, and the water was dark and brutally cold. They emerged into the cave and Maxine shakled Rex up beside Cairo.
 
Pacu began to search to see where the others had gone.

Rex willingly allowed himself to be grabbed, not fighting. Emma meanwhile was watching everything that was going on. Nero hovered over the water, waiting for someone, anyone to take him below the water.
 
Thistles threw the board down to the ground in frustration as it became harder to hack.
