The pup yelped and tried to hide behind Manex's wing, but stumbled as there were still fractures in his leg. The gryphon rolled and clipped the pup's foot, trying to grab it but missed as she flew off.

Sara tore into the other Gryphons wing, ripping it apart right her razor sharp claws. She twisted her powerful body in mid-air and slammed the other Gryphon down head first.

The gryphon dodged Sara by inches. It disappeared into a puff of smoke, though her wing beats could still be heard.

Sara growled in frustration, lashing her tail angrily. "We need to get the pup out of here." Kate said "And keep him someone safe. Something is going on, but I don't know what yet."

Sara grunted in agreement and followed them back to the base, staying in Gryphon form just in case.

"Don't worry." The Gryphon assured her "They can't get through me!"
