She looked at him defiantly "I am a warrior, not your little servant." She spat.

"You're not moon scalded are you?" He sneered. "You get to go to the moon burning chamber tonight then."

"I'm trembling out of my fur!" She snorted, turning her back on him and stalking away.

Nelek rolled his eyes and turned back to watching the other kids who were opening up the pellets and taking the flecks up the staircase.

Jingo padded towards them, coming to see how everything was going. Her eyes glimmered with amusment as she witness the snow leopard telling Nelek off.

Jaclyn left the pelletorium and went to the tower that was between the canyon and St. Aegolius, walking up to the last room where the smokewolf was. The smokewolf watched the pelletorium from a window, watching the hordes of bats carry the buckets of flecks and adding them to a larger one, dumping them on the pile as they left to get more. The smokewolf whispered something in Jaclyn's ear, and a strange grin grew on her face.

"And then the lake, and the capital. Those will be mine." She said, the grin disappearing.

"You have my word." Jaclyn nodded, flying out the window and back to the pelletorium.

The snow leopard watched them with slightly narrowed eyes.

Jaclyn gathered her siblings and met back up with Gabby at the canyon. 2 horses guarded the children that were picking the flecks from the pellets while they were gone.

The snow leopard parted her jaws in a yawn as she watched everyone else working.


Back at the cave Aiden, Sam, Grace and Manex were gathered. "I hope this plan of theirs works." Grace said, shaking her head slightly.

"It will." Aiden replied confidently "You know how well the tree of them work together."

"Last time, Jack left her to die!" Grace snapped "How do we know he won't do it again?"

"We don't." Sam said "But if she trusts him, so do I."
